Problem
As part of the structured development initiatives at Lundgrens, the yearly employee development interviews are a must-win to upscale and support employee retention. For a successful interview, preparation is key - both from the leader and the employee. Prioritization and lack of time prevented many from preparing as they needed to.
Action
Lundgrens decided to power-up the preparation. Instead of focusing on the lack of time and priority, we focused on the process, and created a format suited to the daily lives of everyone - from managing partners to partners to senior and junior associates to administrative personnel.
We helped organize preparation elements into microactions that were quick and easy to complete, and using input data, we ensured only necessary preparation was carried out by each role.
Result
Because of the motivational elements and personalized activities, the kick-off and interviews gained momentum. The journey provided a breath of fresh air to a well-known and traditional process, and all teams found it enjoyable and engaging. Additionally, HR gained insights into employee reflections helping them prioritize next steps in attracting and retaining top talent.
